TheYouth Development Provider Network (YDPN) was created in response to a need for ongoing collaboration among youth-service providers. The YDPN is committed to principles of positive youth development.

Members of the Youth Development Provider Network meet quarterly to gain new tools, techniques and best practices in the area of Youth Development. Each session includes professional development presentations, along with time for participants to share information and build relationships.

The combined expertise of CDCA/St Louis for Kids staff will have the ability to expand and answer community professional development need by sharing best practices, and increasing workshop attendance per class. Together we will make available to our community child care programs and the best trainings possible.

CDCA provides training to child care programs primarily serving 0-6 years;

St. Louis for Kids provides training to youth programs serving 6-18 years.

"Spotlight"

St. Louis for Kids annually celebrates the positive contributions youth-service providers, organizations, and staff make for our children/youth on a daily basis. In honor of this tradition we are launching "Spotlight" and devoting a section of our website to recognize exemplary youth-service providers, staff and other stakeholders. Join us in congratulating Ms. Lillian Curlett, Executive Director of Jamison Memorial Agency as this month's "Spotlight" Provider. Ms. Curlett is the Winner of the 2011 National Education Association (NEA) Mary Hatwood Futrell Award. To read more about Ms. Curlett click here.
