Afterschool Works!” New Advocacy Campaign

St. Louis for Kids has launched a new advocacy campaign called “Afterschool Works!” The purpose is to expand afterschool options for families by: generating greater community awareness about the value of afterschool programs; making afterschool accessibility a top policy priority; and increasing public funding for youth program providers. The Afterschool for All Partnership (ASAP), led by St. Louis for Kids and ARCHS (Area Resources for Community and Human Services) is creating a coordinated system of afterschool programs in the City of St. Louis. With public and private funders and youth services agencies, ASAP will significantly increase the availability of high quality programs.
