“Afterschool Works!” New Advocacy Campaign
St. Louis for Kids has launched a new advocacy campaign called “Afterschool Works!” The purpose is to expand afterschool options for families by: generating greater community awareness about the value of afterschool programs; making afterschool accessibility a top policy priority; and increasing public funding for youth program providers. (ASAP), led by St. Louis for Kids and ARCHS (Area
Resources for Community and Human Services) is creating a
coordinated system of afterschool programs in the City of
St. Louis. With public and private funders and youth services
agencies, ASAP will significantly increase the availability
of high quality programs.
