The Challenger Learning Center -St. Louis is a partnership of Ferguson-Florissant School District, the Saint Louis Science Center and the Cooperating School Districts of Greater St. Louis is currently seeking a candidate for the following position.

Flight Director (part time 10-15 hrs/week)

PAY RANGE: $11.27 per hour


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct simulated space missions, workshops, and programs and assist with other related programs
Conduct simulated space missions for schools, community, public and corporate groups
Conduct on and off-site workshops and other programs as needed
Represent the Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis at business fairs and other related activities as needed
Attend regular staff meetings
Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent (60 hours college credit preferred)
Science, math or technology background desired
Teaching experience in formal or informal education desired
Strong presentation and communication skills
Demonstrated interest in space science preferred
Comfortable working with technology
Ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults
Dynamic and outgoing personality
Flexible schedule-available to work weekdays, and occasional evenings

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be ambulatory to move around all areas of the building.
