POSITION:         TRAINING/TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE (TA) COORDINATOR

REPORTS TO:      EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:   The Training/TA Coordinator is responsible for the effective delivery of St. Louis for Kids’ training and technical assistance services.  The Coordinator also provides direct technical assistance as needed to school-age programs for the purpose of meeting quality standards, licensing requirements, accreditation, program development/expansion and/or implementation of best practices.  The Training/TA Coordinator must be knowledgeable of operations and programming of non-school hour/afterschool programs.  Familiarity with quality standards, licensing requirements, accreditation standards and best practice programs is highly desirable.  In addition, s/he must demonstrate the ability to manage projects, lead and work effectively with committees, deliver trainings to adult learners and be knowledgeable of non-school hour/afterschool staff development subjects.  A thorough knowledge of the region’s various communities and youth service providers is also very important.
 
EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the education or youth services field (i.e., elementary education, secondary education, social work, counseling, health, recreation).  Masters degree preferred.

Experience:  A minimum 3 years professional or management experience with non-school hour youth programs.  Demonstrated experience in adult learning, training/education, project planning, evaluation and assessment, public relations or other pertinent areas.

Skills/Abilities

Other: Candidates must have access to a vehicle and/or have the means to travel extensively throughout the region.  Candidates must be autonomously mobile in accessing a variety of different neighborhood-based facilities where meetings and programs are held.
